GLIM Community C.I.C

 GLIM Community CIC was founded to give back to the community. All profits, funding and money raised will go back into the community buy funding more community and youth led projects. Our aims to make as many children and young people as possible become positive members of their community by raising their respect and awareness levels of their own community. It is vital to give children and young people realistic targets and role models they can aspire to and there is no better place to start other than their own local community. 

We will involve local businesses, influential people, organisations, charities, children’s services, local children’s centres, free schools, barbershops, football clubs and churches into the programme and establish useful links and connect these business and people with the schools and communities we work in to help build positive and healthy relationships.  

We aim to work alongside these agencies to ensure we are reach as many families in the community as possible. Working together with other organisations and agencies will ensure GLIM Community is able to sign post parents or children to services they may need or are unaware of. This will also ensure GLIM Community can refer a family to a service if they require a level of support GLIM Community is unable to provide. 

Making positive link provides a huge range of opportunity and resources for children, young people and their schools. The importance of building these relationships will give children and young people the opportunities to meet and see successful people and business in their own community close to home, this will inspire some and give others ideas and hope for the future. 

Guide, lead, inspire and motivate is what GLIM Community is about, so guiding children and young people down the right path,  leading them in the right direction, provide opportunities for them to be inspired, motivating them to be the best they can be  will help them to become positive members of their community. If children and young people feel involved in the community they will have more respect for the people and businesses in it. 

This will enable GLIM Community to support children and young people in different aspects of their lives not just in an educational environment but also in a social setting. GLIM Community will not stop during half terms and holidays and will continue to support children and young people during these times, so it is paramount that GLIM Community connects and builds positive relationships in the communities it operates in.
